Story
I am fundraising for the GI Cancer Institute and raising vital funds to support Gastro-Intestinal (GI) cancer research. Over 28,600 Australians are diagnosed with a GI cancer each year. Substantial advances have been made in the last 30 years, but there is still a long way to go. Last year I ran the City to Surf for the first time to raise funds for GI cancer research.
Earlier this year I lost a dear friend who had cancer of the bile duct. Please support me as I run the City to Surf again this year, and please make a donation to fund vital clinical trials research, and help give hope to GI cancer patients and their families and friends. Gastro-Intestinal (GI) cancer is the most common form of cancer claiming a devastating 51 lives each day. At the GI Cancer Institute, our vision is to create a world free from GI cancers. It is thanks to the support of the community that we are able to fund vital clinical trials research to improve quality of life and treatment options for GI cancer patients. GI cancers affect the digestive system and includes cancers of the stomach, oesophagus, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, stomach and bowel and anus. Thank you for your support.
